Summer data research intern

He worked as a summer research associate with a collaborative project with Professors from University of Sydney, Leeds, Manchester and Cambridge. He was awarded the LoR and invitation to Univ. of Sydney in the mid of the Tenure itself because of this excellence in research.

• Project description: He worked as a research summer associate under the guidance of Prof. Jarrod Vassallo( Univ. of Sydney) and Prof. Sourindra Banerjee( the University of Leeds) and with their co-authors Prof. Jaideep Prabhu, Prof. Ahmed Khwaja(the university of Cambridge), Dr. Magda Hassan( the University of Manchester). The project involved macroeconomic data analysis of Indian macroeconomincs including data collection, data-preprocessing and doing preliminary analysis of (1) microfinance data- banks, finance sectors, Gini coefficients, infrastructure development, government spending; (2) market level traits; (3) at the Indian State level of analysis; (4) with a focus on economic inequality levels using satellite (lights-at-night) data using ARQGIS.Data consisted of more 600+ data of indian districts with their various economical aspects
